Meet the Team

Clinical Team

Dr. Renald Turnquest

Associate Dentist

I was born and raised in Nassau, Bahamas. I obtained my first degree in biology with a minor in chemistry at The College of the Bahamas, which is now the University of The Bahamas. During that time, I discovered a passion for working with people and bringing out the best in them. I continued my education at the University of the West Indies St. Augustine’s Campus, where I received my Doctorate of Dental Surgery. Upon graduation, I completed a postgraduate residency in general dentistry with the Lutheran Medical Center in New York.

Since returning to The Bahamas, I have been actively serving the Bahamian population through private practice with a special emphasis on oral rehabilitation and dental implant restoration. I enjoy all forms of outdoor activities, from snorkeling to running 5ks. In addition, I enjoy restoring antique cars and listening to smooth jazz.

Dr. Avianne Crichlow

Associate Dentist

I was born and raised in Trinidad and Tobago. I am a 2015 graduate of the University of the West Indies School of Dentistry. I practiced dentistry in Trinidad until I relocated to New Providence in 2021. However, dentistry has proven to be an ever-evolving industry, therefore, I make it a priority to stay abreast and updated on all new technology and techniques. This enables me to provide my patients with the best possible treatment.

My passion is building and growing relationships and this definitely includes my relationships with my patients. I strive to remove that negative stigma that dentistry possesses by ensuring that my patients are comfortable, well-informed and educated and by providing the best and most up-to-date treatment. It brings me joy when there is a transformation in a patient's smile and attitude towards dentistry and this is my goal for every patient that I see.

In my off time, I love spending time with friends and family, travelling and being as adventurous as I possibly can in the moment.

Crystal

Clinical Coordinator

I believe that patient care should be number one in any healthcare establishment. I work hand in hand with our amazing dentists to make sure procedures go smoothly. Being a part of this astonishing team has opened new opportunities for me and has helped me to break out of a bubble of being timid. Many patients are nervous about their procedures and smiling is a great way to relieve tension, so I ensure that I greet each patient I encounter with a warm, inviting smile.

When I am not being a hardworking dental assistant, I let my creative juices flow in everything musical. I am a member of the South West Bahamas Conference Pathfinders Band. I am currently the woodwind section leader. I am active in a wonderful church called Bible Truth Ministries, under the leadership of Pastor Ellison Greenslade. I mainly work in the audiovisual department, but lend a hand in any other area when needed. I also enjoy spending time shopping, cooking, and watching Netflix.

Gabriel

Dental Assistant

If you had met me three years ago, you would have probably heard me say that the dental field is just not for me. However, I now find myself pursuing the exact thing that I ran away from in the past and I absolutely love it! I love to see patients excited and the field of dentistry allows me to do just that. I seek to provide outstanding service while assisting you in achieving your goal of having an eye-catching, show stopping smile.

I am an energetic, enthusiastic and outgoing individual and with the combination of these character traits, you are forced to laugh or smile when I connect with you. My personal goal is to ensure that each patient's experience is better than their last experience with us. Whether it is because they laughed a bit harder this time, or the way their face lights up with a smile. It all boosts my confidence to another level and encourages me give it my best. I enjoy interacting with others, singing and dancing to cultural music. I am an active individual in my church and within my community. Please be assured that my commitment to patient care remains the same and that is to make your smile a bit brighter than before.

Hygiene Team

Donnette

Registered Dental Hygienist

As dental hygienist, my ultimate responsibility is to provide preventive care for patients, which includes removal of plaque and calculus from the teeth and beneath the gingiva (gums). Moreover, I examine the mouth, teeth, and gums to aid in providing customized and effective treatment for each person who sits in my chair. It is my obligation to educate patients on how to care for their oral health and thus one’s overall health.

The favorite part of my job is interacting with patients and changing ones’ perception of oral health through providing education and treatment by doing dentistry differently and leaving them with a one-of- a-kind “wow” experience.

Other than dentistry, I have a passion for event planning, decorating, fashion and traveling. I value my faith, family, and friends. I am the owner of Curvy Closet Women’s E-boutique as well as Pink Sands Events. I am the cofounder of The Hygiene Loft. I am a Pinterest junkie and I love all things Pink!

Jacara

Registered Dental Hygienist

As your dental hygienist, my duty is to perform preventive dental care to help patients achieve and maintain good oral health. I remove tartar and plaque (soft and hard deposits) from the teeth, and apply preventive materials such as fluoride and sealants that prevent dental decay. I work along with the dentist to improve patients’ oral health by taking X-rays and reviewing them for signs of dental diseases. I love educating patients on how to practice proper at home oral hygiene.

When I am not working, I enjoy spending my time traveling, shopping, eating, and hanging with my family. However, I also like time alone so I can rest, recharge, and reset. I am passionate about my faith, so I love attending my church and learning more about God’s word.

Indirah

Registered Dental Hygienist

I have been in the dental field for nearly two decades. I began my career as a dental assistant and got a degree in dental hygiene many years ago. As a dental hygienist, I try my best to provide superior primary care to all my patients. I help patients achieve a healthy mouth through preventive measures, such as cleanings, diagnostic measures such as examinations, and referring patients to the dentist for secondary dental care. I find satisfaction in teaching patients about oral health care and seeing the difference a healthy smile makes in my patients.

I am a self-proclaimed sci-fi and fantasy nerd. I enjoy watching superhero movies and reading fantasy novels. Recently I have begun baking and cake decorating in my spare time. Because I am an introvert, I enjoy long walks on secluded beaches. What matters most to me is kindness and empathy. I value being part of and contributing to my community both at work and at home.

Shaquan

My sole mission is to make each patient feel welcomed, at ease, and at home when they arrive. Additionally, I aid in educating our patients and assisting them with their concerns, to ensure that they leave with a better understanding and a more positive outlook on dentistry. With the goal in mind to educate and wow each patient I encounter, I do my best to turn that goal into a reality, all while maintaining lasting relationships with our patients.

I am an energetic, high-spirited soul, and I bring positivity wherever I go. Growing up, I always had a desire and love for all things sports-related. I especially enjoy traveling, gymnastics, and dance, so during my free time I enjoy doing just those things; whether it be watching them or participating in them! I am very active in gymnastics and dance and most importantly, I am very involved in my church, Christ Community Church (CCC). I am currently a dance leader of CCC, directing a total of 15 young ladies who also have a passion for dance.
